You are safe in my Memory
"Do People make Memories, or its the memories that mark the importance of someone in your life."
Its kind of my continuous second post on 'Memories'. The reason for this post is the thought that struck my mind, while talking to a friend. We were talking about, the past memories of our life - childhood, school, college, friends and what not.
The topic while on shifted to us, and he said - "Sometimes I think, how will I remember you, I don't have memories of you." I asked him, "What for you are memories? Isn't talking to each other and sharing so much, part of memories? Isn't the times we spend talking, even if not together are part of memory?"
Him: "Memories, of spending time together, memories of doing something different, some adventure together."
Me: "Aren't all these times, memories for you.?"
Him: "Times that we spend together."
Me: "Do you rely on times and memories to remember me? Isn't it the people who make memories, memories do not make people. Its the people in your life, who make the memories special and worth remembering. And you will realize this, once these days have passed out of your hands."
You dont have to rely on memories to remember people who have been a part of your life, touched you and with there presence made your moments worth remembering.

yeah, you cannot tag memories with an image, this was d point i was trying hard to put through to him.

At such times, when you only remotely even remember someone's face or voice, its memories that you associate with someone. And memories are more clear only when theyre associated with images. Maybe photographs, or gifts, or a place, or a song, or something tangible.
Sorry for sounding so practical :P

Yeah, may be u r rite. sometimes, its important to have something to associate with someone, to have a memory or a thing for keepsake.

yeah memories are all the times we share, we dont have to make effortto get or build memories. Memories build up from time.
